Gift Guide for the Foodie
Whether they love food, love to cook, or both, there are so many fun gadgets and kitchenware that is sure to make all the foodies pretty darn happy this holiday season. I even picked the brain of my *favorite* chef to get some great ideas and brands for the foodie in your life.
Grill Thermometer - For the grill master or anyone who likes to have cookouts in the summertime, this grill thermometer is a game-changer. The dual probe system lets you monitor the temperature of 2 different
cuts of meat at the same time. And unlike a lot of grill thermometers, this is wireless & long range meaning you aren't tied to the grill and can still enjoy the party without your meat overcooking.
Sous Vide Cooker - This is a staple in our household and a great way to cook everything. It is a precise way to cook meat so there is no unevenness or dry edges because the juices can't escape. This cooker also comes with an app and is bluetooth enabled so you can monitor your cook-time from your phone. We love it for chicken, steak, and you can even use it to infuse alcohol or other non-meats. (more on that to come!)
KitchenAid attachments - Whether you prefer to cook or bake, you can't go wrong with gifting attachments for a KitchenAid mixer. There are endless options, from the spiralizer, shredder,
meat grinder, juicer, and of course, the beloved pasta rollers and cutters. These cut down on the amount
of kitchen equipment necessary and are really just a great way to expand your culinary horizons!
Universal Knife Block - For the at-home chef who has an assortment of knives, a universal knife block is the way to go. It holds knives with blades up to 8" and thanks to the flexible rods, the knives can be placed anywhere without dulling the blades. The flex rods can be removed and are dishwasher-safe,
making this a great solution for anyone!
Enameled Cast-Iron Skillet - If you aren't ready to commit to a traditional cast-iron skillet, this is the perfect alternative for you! The enamel makes the skillet non-stick, easy to clean, but still cooks your
food like the skillet grandma uses.
Local Olive Oils - For the chef who has it all, you can't go wrong gifting some local olive oils and balsamic vinegars. They are the perfect finishing oil for salads, pizzas, and make great marinating oils for meat.
Global Chef Knife - This 8" knife is the best all-purpose knife for a kitchen. For everything from meats, to fruits and veggies, the blade is perfect for anything. Because of the design, the knife is made from a
single piece of stainless steel making it more durable than knives with wooden handles.
Chemex Coffee Maker - For the coffee lover, this ultimate pour-over coffee maker is a great gift. Similar to a french press, pour over coffee is a great way to infuse the full flavor of the coffee beans into hot water for the greatest coffee experience.
