Spinach Artichoke Dip
Ingredients:
10 oz fresh spinach, chopped
1 (14-ounce) can of artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon olive oil (for greasing the slow cooker)
Tortilla chips, crackers, or bread for serving
Instructions:
Start by greasing the inside of your slow cooker with a teaspoon of olive oil to prevent sticking.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, grated Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, shredded mozzarella cheese, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Stir all the ingredients together until well combined. Make sure the artichoke hearts and spinach are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Transfer the mixture into the greased slow cooker, spreading it out evenly.
Cover the slow cooker with its lid and set it to cook on LOW for 2-3 hours. Check the dip after 2 hours; it should be hot and bubbly, and the cheese should be fully melted. You can let it cook for an additional hour if needed.
Once the dip is ready, give it a good stir to make sure all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Taste it and adjust the seasoning, if necessary.
Keep the slow cooker on the "WARM" setting to maintain the perfect serving temperature during your gathering.
Serve the Spinach Artichoke Dip with your choice of tortilla chips, crackers, or slices of crusty bread.
Enjoy the rich and creamy Southern-inspired Spinach Artichoke Dip with friends and family. It's sure to be a hit at your next gathering!
Tip: You can customize this dip by adding a touch of hot sauce for extra heat or more crushed red pepper flakes. Don't be surprised if your guests keep coming back for seconds!
