Cuisine American
- 1 package store-bought pizza dough
- Mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Marinara sauce for dipping
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces and gently flatten each piece into a small round.
Cut each mozzarella string cheese stick into thirds.
Place one piece of cheese in the center of each dough round. Wrap the dough around the cheese, pinching and sealing the edges completely to form a ball.
Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the Italian seasoning. Brush the tops of each pizza bomb generously with the butter mixture.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. The cheese inside will be very hot.
Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite pizza dipping sauce.
Optional Add-Ins
Before sealing the dough, add small amounts of:
- Pepperoni
- Cooked sausage
- Diced bell peppers
- Olives
- Pineapple
Keep fillings minimal so the dough seals properly.
