Ingredients

  • 1 package store-bought pizza dough
  • Mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Divide the pizza dough into 12 equal pieces and gently flatten each piece into a small round.
  • Cut each mozzarella string cheese stick into thirds.
  • Place one piece of cheese in the center of each dough round. Wrap the dough around the cheese, pinching and sealing the edges completely to form a ball.
  • Place the dough balls seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the Italian seasoning. Brush the tops of each pizza bomb generously with the butter mixture.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. The cheese inside will be very hot.
  • Serve warm with marinara sauce or your favorite pizza dipping sauce.

Notes

Optional Add-Ins

Before sealing the dough, add small amounts of:
  • Pepperoni
  • Cooked sausage
  • Diced bell peppers
  • Olives
  • Pineapple
