Cuisine American
- 1 box white or Funfetti cake mix
- Two 3.5 oz vanilla pudding cups
- 8 oz whipped topping thawed
- ¼ cup rainbow sprinkles measure with your heart... can there ever be too many sprinkles?
Heat Treat the Cake Mix: Start by heat-treating your cake mix to make it safe for eating raw. You can do this by microwaving it in a heat-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the temperature reaches at least 140°F. You can also spread it on a baking sheet and bake it at 350°F for about 5 minutes.
Mix It Up: In a medium mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to combine the cooled cake mix and pudding cups until smooth. Add in your sprinkles—don’t hold back! They give the dip that signature “Dunkaroo” look.
Fold in the Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping with a spatula until everything is light, fluffy, and well combined. It should look like the happiest bowl of frosting you’ve ever seen.
Serve and Enjoy: Transfer to a serving bowl, top with even more sprinkles, and serve immediately—or chill for 30 minutes if you prefer it cool and firm.
